Sr. Ellen Leonard honoured

Ellen Leonard, CSJ, longtime theology professor at St Michael's College, Toronto School of Theology, will be honoured in June with the Ann O'Hara Graft Award at the annual convention of the Catholic Theological Society of America in Reston, Virginia.

The prize is for a "woman whose accomplishments include feminist, womanist or other woman-defined scholarship and liberating action on behalf of women in the church and in the broader community."

Sister Leonard was active in the forming of "Canadian Catholics for Women's Ordination," now named the "Catholic Network for Women's Equality."
