Pray as you go

Catholic New Times, May 21, 2006

LONDON, UK -- According to the National Catholic Reporter, the Jesuits in Britain have launched a "pray as you go" web site aimed at putting stressed out commuters and other travelers in touch with God via their iPods and cell phones.

The Jesuit Media Initiatives project has been offering daily prayer services, spiritual music and bible readings that can be downloaded from their web site www.pray-as-you-go.org. The web site began to offer the service on Ash Wednesday, March 1.

While initially conceived as a Lenten activity, the British Jesuits have extended "pray-as-you-go" for the Easter season.

Each session begins with a peal of bells and ends with questions to aid with personal reflection.
