The League has received two additional years of funding for Safeguarding U.S. Democracy: Promoting an Independent Judiciary by Defending the U.S. Constitution (Sept. 2007-Aug. 2009) from the Open Society Institute. Proposals from Leagues for grants to work on issues relating to the 2008 judicial elections are due by January 31, 2008.
