Fashion forward

Custom Home, Jan-Feb, 2005 by Stephani L. Miller

Heat register grilles are an overlooked opportunity to make a design statement or carry an architectural theme throughout a home using hardware. But that rectangular cut in the floor or along the baseboard can be dressed up with these new decorative heat register grilles from Liz's Antique Hardware.

The cast-aluminum grilles are inspired by patterns from the Art Deco and Streamline Moderne movements. Four patterns are available; one pattern is reproduced from a period grille while the other three patterns reflect period styling. Each is available in three sizes--13 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches, 13 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches, and 15 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches--in a sleek aluminum finish. 323.939.4403. www.lahardware.com. Circle 181.
