Graphic Arts: Interaction 2.0 to meet XML 1.0

MacWeek, March 23, 1998 by Andrea Dudrow

Interaction will take advantage of XML 1.0, recently released by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C); it will generate HTML from XML tags that users embed in Web documents. The software works with a Mac OS Web server.

The company said Interaction 2.0, which was originally slated to be released at Macworld Expo in January, will also sport a cascading style sheets editor and more site-management features than previous versions (see 11.10.97, Page 25).

Markup palettes that provide tags and entities for versions 4.0 and 3.2 of HTML will also find their way into the release, Media Design said. Other new features will include simultaneous importing of multiple folders and the capability to create multiple services, such as chat forums, for each site.

Interaction 2.0 will cost $249, the company said. Upgrades will be free for registered owners of previous versions.
