Free enabler puts PC games on Mac

MacWeek, Feb 16, 1998

Insignia Solutions Inc. and TechWorks Inc. last week released an enabler that promises to bring DOS- and Windows 95-based games to the Mac.

The companies said the software for Insignia's SoftWindows 95 5.0 and RealPC emulation products makes it possible for Macs with TechWorks' Power3D graphics accelerator card to run PC games designed for the Voodoo Graphics 3-D processor from 3Dfx Interactive. Insignia said the enabler is available free from the company's Web site.

Insignia Solutions Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., is at (408) 327-6000 or (800) 848-7677; fax (408) 327-6105; info@insignia.com; www.insignia.com.
