Tradition upgrade

As it says in "Simply Celebrate" [December/January, page 64], there are lots of creative ways to give gifts that don't include products. After years of writing holiday newsletters, I started including an original story or poem. The first year I wrote a Christmas poem about settling into the Southwest; the next, I reflected on the season with a nature story. Last year I wrote a poem called First Snow. I continue with my new tradition, filling mailboxes with love, news, and a holiday story.
