PLAGUED WITH dark circles or puffy eyes? Moisturizing eye creams and gels can make them look less noticeable, says Betty Davis, M.D., a dermatologist at the Arizona Medical Clinic in Sun City, Ariz. We tested more than 80 treatments, and these four came out on top.
* NIGHTTIME Murad Eye Treatment Complex SPF 8 ($58; murad.com) contains the exfoliator glycolic acid to reduce fine lines and wrinkles; silica to brighten dark circles; and a blend of vitamins C and E and grape-seed extract for antioxidant protection.
* TIRED EYES Olay Definity Eye Illuminator ($26; at drugstores) is a cool gel that reduces puffiness; a vitamin B compound brightens eyes.
* FINE LINES Zia Ultimate Eye Creme ($34; zianatural.com) is citrus-scented and full of natural ingredients: mango butter, yeast extract, and monoi oil to moisturize; ginkgo and cornflower that help boost circulation; and grapeseed and oat extract to fight cell damage.
* DRY SKIN ShiKai Borage Dry Skin Therapy Eye Cream ($16; shikai.com) is made with borage oil--a source of an omega-6 fatty acid--to hydrate and soften skin.
