A Homeopathic Handbook of Natural Remedies - Book Review

Natural Health, Sept, 2002 by David Maloof

BY LAURA JOSEPHSON; VILLARD/ RANDOM HOUSE; $15

Josephson acknowledges that there is no scientific explanation for homeopathy, and much of her straightforward, hype-free guide to homeopathic treatments consists of a comprehensive listing of ailments (mostly physical, but also emotional) and remedies. For each ailment, she offers several homeopathic remedies with corresponding symptoms to help you choose which remedy will work best for you; she also lists other solutions and gives advice about when to seek professional help for each ailment. Even though the book is structured logically and written clearly, you might still find it difficult to determine a treatment course if you have symptoms that correspond to multiple remedies. Nonetheless, this is a potentially empowering and transforming book, offering you the opportunity to heal yourself.
