Going vegan

Thank you for "Garden of Vegan," your article on veganism [May, page 37]. It's unfortunate, though, that you called it "Foolproof Tips for Losing Weight" on the cover. Veganism is neither a diet nor a "foolproof" way to lose weight. It's a cruelty-free way of life that is intended to benefit your health, the earth, and, most of all, animals. You can find more information about veganism at www.vegan.org.

Our cover line referred to the study mentioned in the article about a vegan diet followed by diabetics that helped them lose weight and improve their health.
