Thank you for raising awareness of the rampant destruction of sandalwood forests in "Saving Sandalwood" [May 2008, page 24]. Although most eco-minded people prefer natural oils, in the case of sandalwood, it's more ecologically responsible to use synthetically scented products, which can be made without harming the environment or consuming natural resources. Plus, synthetic scents smell as good as the real thing!
