We're recognizing Kohler, a global kitchen and bath product manufacturer, for its commitment to water conservation. Many of the company's well-designed toilets have earned EPA WaterSense certification because they use at least 20 percent less water than standard units. Its Carafe kitchen faucet (shown here) comes with a built-in carbon filter that reduces pollutants like chlorine and lead. At Kohler's product lab, 80 million gallons of water are recycled annually. In addition, the company's headquarters in Wisconsin is a registered botanical garden with 21 acres of preserved wetlands.
