Shower-less running. - book review

Running & FitNews, Dec, 2001

If lunchtime at work is your best bet for getting in a good run, but your office doesn't have shower facilities, what to do? As long as you have a private place to change--go for it. Fresh sweat on a clean body doesn't produce body odor. It needs time to grow a crop of bacteria for that distinctive smell to arise. If you towel dry after a run and don your office clothes again, you'll be respectable for the rest of the day. Your running clothes and shoes need special attention though, to prevent your office from smelling like a locker room. Try a garbage bag sealed up inside your gym bag, then wash and air your gear at home.
