Members in print … again!

AMAA Journal, Spring, 2004

As leaders in the field of sports and running medicine, AMAA members are prolific at filling our shelves with notable references. You've seen the book reviews in the AMAA Journal and we've discussed titles in previous printings of "Member News." This growing list of AMAA authors now includes the following:

Matthew Werd, D.P.M., recently coauthored FOOT! Care, Prevention, and Treatment with Les Knight, Ph.D. This 192-page book, including over 200 photographs, is written for both runners and non-runners and discusses basic foot care in lay terminology. For more information, go to www.footbook.net.

AMAA Journal editorial advisory member Steven Karageanes, D.O., just completed a textbook entitled Principles of Manual Sports Medicine, which discusses the integration of traditional sports medicine with manual medicine techniques and principles. According to Dr. Karageanes, this text will also be a useful reference for physical therapists and athletic trainers who use these methods. The book will be available in October; Amazon.com is currently taking orders in advance.
