Oklahoma Medicaid wants to limit recipients to five prescriptions per month - State News in Brief

Drug Cost Management Report, Nov, 2002

* Oklahoma Medicaid wants to limit recipients to five prescriptions per month, thereby saving the state $3.2 million a year. The limit would apply to enrollees in the Home and Community Based Services Waiver Program, so patients who require more than five scripts a month would have to move to a nursing home to get their meds.

Some Tulsa residents are seeking class-action status for a lawsuit filed Oct. 1, 2002, challenging the state's decision.
