What OIS Provides

The OIS was designed to provide timely, accurate, and focused information to enable the ordnance community, at any level, to accomplish it's mission in the most efficient and effective manner. Through its flexible architecture, the OIS is poised to quickly respond to changing mission requirements in support of the precepts of the CNO's Sea Power vision. Finally, through its intuitive interfaces, its ability to access many varied and different sources of information, and utilizing its flexible mechanism for presenting the retrieved information, the OIS serves as the ordnance community's vehicle for managing the "complexity of easy".
