Navy Supply Corps Newsletter, May-June, 2003 by Justin D. McCarthy
As I write this note, the war in Iraq is in its 6th day. Our thoughts and prayers are with the brave soldiers, Sailors, airmen, marines and coastguardsmen engaged in defense of our freedom, as well as with the members of the allied forces fighting with us. May they all be protected and returned home safely when their mission is completed. They have our total support.
The support you are all providing continues to be superb. Just watching you all in action is inspiring. The communications and teamwork have been better than I've ever seen and the great support being provided our operational forces is a direct reflection of your efforts. A recent note I received from our departing Undersecretary of the Navy, Susan Morrisey Livingstone, sums it up well. She writes: "... please know you have my respect and admiration for all you do ... for it is amazing, exceptional and makes a difference." Keep up the great work!
