Position Title: Force Theater Logistics Plans Officer Responsibilities, Commander Special Warfare Command, Coronado, Calif.: Echelon II staff with worldwide operational deployment planning responsibilities to subordinate Echelon III commands. Direct support to the Global War on Terrorism. Develops procedures and implements plans for a variety of logistics support functions. Administrative and program control for Naval Special Warfare in the following areas: combat service support (CSS)/field support operations, prepositioned war reserve material stock (PWRMS), program objective memorandum (POM), chemical biological radiological and nuclear defense (CBRND), joint operational stocks (JOS), strategic lift, table of organic allowance (TOA), and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).

Current initiatives: Logistics planning and analysis of prepositioned war materials to OPLAN/CONPLAN support. CSS Base Camp and Forward Operating Base (FOB) personnel and equipment resourcing. Budget development for N42 POM and related Echelon III initiatives. Logistical and policy oversight for major operational deployment plans. TOA implementation and operational inventory requirements analysis. NSW-wide AIT and bar code implementation. DPAS property control. CBRND outfitting and central programming.

How competitive is the billet? Highly competitive. This is a 3212 subspecialty coded billet integral to the Joint Operational Logistics career path. There are two O-4 3100 billets under the CNSWC Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Logistics (N4).

Who do you work for? Who signs your fitreps? Direct support to U.S. Navy Seal and SWCC (Surface Warfare Combatant Crewman) operators. The N422 billet falls under the Logistics Plans and Operations Officer (N42) and ACOS for Logistics (N4). FITREPS signed by Commander, Naval Special Warfare Command (07/08) who reports directly to both the CNO and Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command.
