Corley named Civil Engineer of the Year

> The Illinois section of the American Society of Civil Engineers has named Dr. W. Gene Corley as its 2002 Civil Engineer of the Year. Corley is senior vice president of Construction Technology Laboratories, Skokie, Ill., a subsidiary of the Portland Cement Association. The award recognizes Corley's service as head of the ASCE/FEMA team that investigated the structural performance of the World Trade Center as well as many other contributions to the civil engineering profession over the course of his distinguished career.
