Requires only one operator

Concrete Construction, April, 2003

The new Porto-Screed requires only one operator, increasing efficiency and productivity on the jobsite. A 4-hp Honda gasoline engine powers the unit, which delivers 4300 vibrations per minute. The high vibrating speed and amplitude allow strike-off of a stiffer mix, bringing fine aggregate to the surface. The 75-pound unit is designed to take twin 2x4 beam lengths of up to 16 feet and is suitable for projects such as sidewalks, driveways, and other smaller jobs. Its vibrating action and rubber mounts confine the vibration to the screeding surface, helping to reduce operator discomfort. STOW, Div. of Multiquip circle 2
