Easy-to-operate, damage-resistant unit

Concrete Construction, April, 2003

This manufacturer's power bar and power transfer system produce a high-frequency vibration designed to eliminate honeycombing and speed up finishing time. Its power transfer system has no flexshaft to be lubricated; its rubber coupler is designed to shear if the eccentric weight becomes blocked to protect the bearings from damage due to overloading.

Also, the weight is quickly and easily adjustable for vibration amplitude in the field without the need to remove the powerhead from the board. Adjustable handlebars suit any user's height in any depth of concrete and require no tools for adjustment. A "Set and Forget" throttle allows the operator to find the optimal vibration rpm and lock it into place. The unit reportedly can be assembled for operation in less than 15 minutes.
