PCI names James Toscas president

Concrete Construction, June, 2003

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) has named James G. Toscas, 52, its president. Toscas is taking over this position from retiring Thomas B. Battles, who has led the group for the past 16 years and has been named to the honorary post of President Emeritus. The appointment was effective February 10, 2003. Toscas joins the institute after having served as Executive Vice President of the American Concrete Institute (ACI).

Toscas sees information management as a vital capability for PCI. "We will seek to continuously improve the gathering, management, and delivery of information, both inside and outside the organization."
