Rheology-modifying SCC admixture

Concrete Construction, June, 2003

Rheomac VMA 362 admixture modifies the rheological properties of concrete to ensure consistent performance from batch to batch for all types of applications. By modifying viscosity, this new admixture adds more body to concrete, ensuring concrete stability and facilitating placement, pumping, and finishing processes.

It exhibits characteristics like "liquid sand" and helps to control bleeding, making these mixes more workable. The admixture also is ideal for lean concrete mixtures and those that contain gap-graded aggregates or manufactured sand, and is especially beneficial for use in self-consolidating concrete (SCC) mixes, providing excellent stability and increased resistance to segregation.
