Spare those pins

Concrete Construction, August, 2002

There was no mercy from California Polytechnic State University for those ten regulation bowling pins. Its two teams took first and third place in the concrete bowling competition at the ASCE conference on June 24. Students designed and built their own concrete bowling balls. Score was based on the bowling score and on the ball's design and effectiveness.

Georgia Tech University was the second-place winner.
