Magnet assemblies reduce injury risk - Product Pulse
Concrete Producer, The, Jan, 2004
Hamilton Form Co. and Thomas & Skinner Inc. introduce the new Saf-T-Mag line of magnetic holding assemblies for the precast concrete industry. The assemblies are safe, fast, and easy to use with steel forms and side rails, eliminating the need for pry bars, hammers, and disengagement tools. By simply moving the switch to ON with a 3/4-inch wrench, the magnet assembly is securely attached to the steel table. Once moved to OFF, the assembly has no magnetic attraction and can be easily removed from the table. Workers will no longer risk pinching their fingers and there will be no more metal shavings to clean from the magnet surface. The assemblies range from 500 pounds to 2000 pounds of holding force.
