Teaming to make Navajo Housing greener - News - Brief Article

Concrete Producer, The, May, 2003

ISG Resources Inc., Salt City, and the Navajo Housing Authority (NHA), Window Rock, Ariz., have announced the initiation of a project to construct affordable, environmentally sustainable housing that uses a versatile building material called FlexCrete.

ISG is teaming with the NHA to construct a FlexCrete manufacturing facility near Page, Ariz., which will supply structural building materials throughout the Navajo Nation. It also will sell products commercially in various markets, providing a significant economic development opportunity for NHA and the northern Arizona area.

FlexCrete is a form of aerated concrete that features ease of construction, thermal and acoustic insulation properties, good fire resistance, and uses large volume of coal fly ash-a reusable material in abundant supply.

For more information about FlexCrete, call 801-984-9400 or visit www. isgresources.com.
