Made of cast iron, W21 totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) motors feature 1-500 hp and are built for demanding plant applications. High-efficiency and NEMA Premium efficiency three-phase models meet IEEE 841 Severe Duty specifications. All W21 motors through 100 hp have 1.25 Service Factors and meet both Design B and Design C torque requirements. The motors feature an exclusive insulation system that utilizes all Class H components, resulting in a package that is approved (NEMA MG1 Part 31) for inverter duty at a very low temperature rise.
