Precast Release 80 is specifically designed to provide a crisp, positive release for most precast applications, including steam-cured concrete with early strip schedules. The non-staining release agent also is said to improve concrete appearance by minimizing voids (bug holes), as well as minimize form cleaning and maintenance costs.
It chemically reacts with the alkali in concrete to prevent build-up and can be used on steel, plastic, and resin-coated wood forms. According to the manufacturer, forms treated regularly with Release 80 will self-clean. Because it is low-viscosity, the release agent can be sprayed in all temperatures at very high coverage rates, reducing costs. It also is non-staining and fast-drying.
