Boom pump's outriggers suit tight spaces - Products for the Producer - Brief Article

Concrete Producer, The, July, 2002

The XXT36 Dragonfly is a truck-mounted 36-meter boom pump with a "Dragonfly XX" outrigger design that allows setup and operation in extremely tight situations. In this design, the front and rear outrigger legs are attached at a single pivot point, allowing the rear leg to overlap the front. The front outrigger leg can then slide out very close to the cab of the truck for greater visibility and to avoid jobsite obstacles.

Mounted on a Mack truck, the PTO-driven 44,000 foot-pound Steibel concrete pump can achieve a maximum pumping output of 200 cubic yards per hour with rod-side concrete pressures of 1300 psi. A fully proportional control system allows for smooth pumping and keeps boom bounce to a minimum, even when pumping at maximum output. REED circle 9
