Best of the mason wannabes: the 39th SkillsUSA-VICA masonry competition demonstrated to our industry pessimists that relying on quality workers may still have a chance to succeed
Masonry Construction, Nov-Dec, 2003 by Rick Yelton
Where Are You Now?
For 39 years, the best of the country's masonry school educational programs have been showing their wares at the SkillsUSA-VlCA national competition. Many of the entrants have developed strong and successful masonry careers.
For next year's 40th anniversary of the competition, the National Technical Committee would like to locate as many of its past contestants and their advisors as possible. If you are a past contestant, or know the whereabouts of one, please contact anyone on the technical committee with the information, or send me an e-mail at ryelton@hanley-wood.com.
