Acme Brick promotes Seidel

Masonry Construction, Sept, 2003 by Ron Holzhauer

Bill Seidel is the new vice president of marketing for Acme Brick Co., Fort Worth, Tex. Commenting on the selection, Acme President Harrold Melton said, "I have worked with Bill during his entire 19-year career with the company, and I haven't met anyone in the brick industry who has the experience, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications that he brings to his new position."

Seidel's marketing efforts on behalf of Acme included the introduction of its 100-year limited guarantee, incorporating former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Troy Aikman into its publicity programs, and developing one of the first Web sites in the brick industry. The new vice president is also active in the Southwestern Brick Council by helping the group develop and implement campaigns that encourage the use of brick and convey its advantages against less permanent sidings.

In other Acme news, its line of residential brick products now carry the famous Good Housekeeping Seal. If a product bearing the Seal proves to be defective within two years of the purchase, Good Housekeeping will replace it or refund the price.
