This surface-adhered membrane with or without a drip edge is used in all flashing applications. Both products feature a 25-mil-thick polymer-composite top membrane and a 15-mil-thick rubberized adhesive backing. The former membrane extends 1 1/2 inches past the adhesive backing to create a drip edge. This design allows installation through the wall 1/4 inch to form a drip edge and eliminates the need for additional metal pieces. The drip edge membrane is used with soft joints at relief angles or where sealants come in contact with the drip edge. Both types are available in black, white, gray, and buff.
