Crane goes higher, longer, and lower

Masonry Construction, March, 2004 by Jenni Spinner

The RT800E rough terrain crane offers a higher lift capacity, longer boom, and lower overall height than previous models. The boom is a 38-142-foot unit in five sections, with sequenced, synchronized full power. The maximum tip height is 150 feet with a standard boom, and it is increased to 205 feet with the offsettable swingaway extension. Other features include a hydraulically controlled counterweight, tilting cab, and electronic display of various information (boom angle, length, radius, load indicators, etc.).
