Model Estimating is just one option available with the Precision Collection Extended Edition, Version 6.0. An estimator simply answers a series of interview-like questions, such as type of building, use, number of stories, exterior shell type, interior fit-out specifications, and desired square footage. These questions are linked to hundreds of construction variables stored in Precision's pricing database. The software also works with Precision's review mode and built-in intelligence, which lets the users modify the estimate model. It logically "thinks through" any changes and makes the appropriate revisions. Safety features let an estimator lock the model for external review, which prevents unwarranted changes.
