Mobile system provides auxiliary power

Masonry Construction, May, 2005

The Blackbird mobile power system is an under-the-hood unit that supplies 120-V, pure-sine, 60-Hz AC power, regardless of the connected engine's speed. It can be connected to a variety of vehicle engines, including the Ford 6.0-L Powerstroke and 5.4-L Triton, the Caterpillar 3126, International DT466M and DT530, and Cummins ISC. The product delivers an efficient, convenient, maintenance-free source of power for lights, tools, and other equipment in the field. It provides 5 kW while allowing the vehicle prime mover to keep at its primary task, which eliminates the need for an additional engine to power a generator.
