Engines feature redesigned cylinder block
Masonry Construction, July-August, 2004 by Jenni Spinner
Available for the first time in North America, the 1100 series Electropak engines offer increased productivity. Engineering changes include a fundamental redesign of the cylinder block to create an advanced open-top-deck structure that reduces transmitted noise. Cylinder capacity is increased to 1.1 liters, and an upgraded combustion system yields improved power. An air-to-air cooling system provides 6-cylinder power in a 4-cylinder package. The engines exceed the forthcoming Tier 3 emission requirements.
