Blair Caldwell African American Research Library: Denver, Colo
Masonry Construction, July-August, 2005
The largest branch within the Denver Public Library System is located in downtown Denver's historic Five Points area, and was designed to fit into the existing architectural character of the neighborhood.
The front facade of the 40,000-square-foot, 3-story building was built on a tight site with a limited budget and is elongated with a centered brick arch. Each major facade is punched with openings resembling the architectural design of nearby buildings.
