The CC500M has a stay-level blade guard that offers safety and convenience during use. A pivot mechanism resists slurry buildup, which could affect performance. Other features include a removable head, open-throat cutting, and side carrying handles. The electric models have dual run and start capacitors for minimal amp draw at startup, as well as a 2.5-hp motor. The 5.5-hp engine on the gas version has a cyclone air cleaner to protect it from dust and foreign material.
