Fountain of youth: these newly renovated older pools enticed their owners to fall in love with them all over again - Aqua Scapes

Pool & Spa News, Oct 3, 2003 by Julie Sturgeon

"We provided that natural look that's become the industry standard without destroying the home's contemporary feel or just installing a cookie-cutter blueprint," Geremia notes.

He continued the classically elegant styling to the pool's interior by ripping out the old-fashioned wedding-cake-style steps and running new entry layers across the pool's width. He also removed the dated grab rails in the deep end in favor of new gunite steps and a swim-out in that section.

With this project in Geremia Pools' portfolio, other families in East Sacramento are catching slate fever. "This is a great example of how you can put in a few basic changes and really make a huge difference in their backyards," Geremia says. "People who are buying these homes with older pools--boy, they can look brand-new in no time at all."

Project cost: $40,000
