Gas water heater recall under way

A.O. Smith Water Products Co. is voluntarily recalling approximately 5,000 of its 75-gallon propane gas water heaters because they may pose fire hazards. The Milwaukee manufacturer of heaters and boilers said that the water heaters can accumulate soot on their burners. A.O. Smith is recalling the units in cooperation with the U.S.
Related Results
Consumer Product Safety Commission and will replace the units for free. The affected units are under the brand names A.O. Smith, Reliance, Apollo, State and Maytag. The units were built between January 2004 and July 2005. For more information, visit www.hotwater.com.
