A.O. Smith earns award

Johnstone Supply, a national wholesale distributor based in Portland, Ore., has awarded its 2003 Excellence in Sales & Marketing Award to A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co. Out of more than 350 candidates, the electric-motor manufacturer based in Tipp City, Ohio, beat out the competition with "the quality of their support" and ability to meet the wholesaler's needs, said Monte Salsman, vice president of marketing at Johnstone.
This is the first time A.O. Smith has won the award.
