Pentair acquires Everpure

Pool & Spa News, Jan 30, 2004

Pentair Inc., based in Golden Valley, Minn., announced it has acquired Everpure Inc., for $215 million. Everpure, an Illinois-based water-treatment products firm, has annual revenues of $60 million. This deal marks the latest in a string of acquisitions aimed at bolstering Pentair's water-technologies business.

In July 2003, Pentair bought the assets of two privately held firms, TwinPumps Inc., a New Jersey maker of pumps for municipal wastewater applications, and Illinois-based K&M Plastics, a maker of brine tanks and pressure vessels. In September 2003, Pentair acquired automatic cleaner maker Letro Products and heat-pump producer HydroTemp.
