AllChem to buy BioLab's Vantage Commercial line

AllChem Performance Products, LP, has entered an agreement to purchase the Vantage Commercial Water Care line from BioLab Inc. of Lawrenceville, Ga. Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed. The purchase of Vantage includes its entire line of chemicals, chemical feeders and related intellectual property.
The sale marks AllChem's first foray into the commercial pool treatment market. AllChem's newly appointed commercial business manager, Jack Thomas, will oversee growth of the Vantage line. Thomas said that AllChem plans to keep the Vantage name and launch a new water-care program for the brand, which includes soliciting additional distributors, dealers and service companies for the products. AllChem is a Gainesville, Fla.-based manufacturer of recreational water-treatment products.
