Green Trends in Industry

As most dealers already know, areas such as California have for years held strict Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) regulations for construction adhesives and sealants. These regulations continue to spread to other states, as several Northeastern states have adopted these regulations, effective January 1, 2005. Strict penalties apply for dealers selling non-compliant product, and OSI has a program in place to help dealers plan new alternatives.

OSI has already developed VOC compliant versions of most products affected by the new rule, especially in the OSI Pro-Series[R] and PL[R] lines of products. One example of OSI's commitment is their PL 400 VOC-compliant adhesive, the only solvent based VOC compliant sub-floor adhesive on the market. These new VOC solvent-based adhesives allow builders to meet environmental requirements without sacrificing performance with other alternative technology products.

A New QUAD

In 2005, OSI will continue to provide VOC compliant products to meet the needs of builders and contractors requiring or preferring low VOC sealants. The most exciting of these products is the new QUAD Low VOC Advanced Formula Sealant.
