Carter Lumber opens wall panel plant

Kent, Ohio-based Carter Lumber opened a wall panel plant in Salem, Ohio, in December. Carter Woodcraft Salem provides wall panels in 17- and 20-foot lengths at a maximum of 10 feet 3 inches high. Custom-built sizes also will be available. The plant will be managed by Dale Webber, who has more than 30 years experience in the building components industry.
Founded in 1932, Carter Lumber (www.carter lumber.com) operates 240 stores in 10 states and had 2004 sales of approximately $675 million.
