ABC acquires 29 distribution centers

On November 27, ABC Supply, a wholesale distributor of roofing and siding, announced an agreement to purchase 29 Cameron Ashley Building Products distribution centers. The acquired distribution centers of roofing, siding, and other exterior products are located in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Mountain, and Western regions. The agreement was finalized on December 15.
"We are extremely pleased and excited to have the associates and customers of these 29 locations become part of the ABC family," ABC president and COO David Luck stated in a press release. "They are a great addition to our existing store base and a natural fit for our current growth plans. We are working very closely with our counterparts at Cameron Ashley to ensure a smooth transition for customers and associates and are confident there will be no disruption to customer service during this transition period."
Headquartered in Beloit, Wis., ABC Supply (www.abcsupplycom) has 239 locations in 44 states and has annual sales of more than $1.5 billion.
