Recently added to Owens Corning's line of insulating accessories, the WeatherProtectR Waterproofing System is a three-component system engineered to protect building envelopes against heat loss, moisture penetration, and air infiltration. This fully integrated, below-grade moisture-resistance system is designed specifically for use in polystyrene foam applications; its membrane, mastic, and water-based primer will not degrade polystyrene, the manufacturer says, and can therefore be used safely with Owens Corning's insulated concrete forming system as well as other polystyrene foam insulations. The WeatherProtectR System does not require tar or adhesives, requires no special equipment for installation, and can be applied at low temperatures. It is also compatible with structural concrete, masonry, wood, plywood, and metallic and plastic surfaces, according to the company. 800.438.7465. www.owenscorning.com. Circle 101.
