Carter Lumber acquires Holmes
Prosales, June, 2004
Kent, Ohio-based Carter Lumber announced that it has acquired The Holmes Lumber and Building Centers, a three-yard chain based in Millersburg, Ohio. Carter Lumber will retain the names of the Holmes Lumber locations.
Founded in 1932, Carter Lumber (www.carterlumber. com) had 2003 sales of $570 million and operates 240 stores in 10 states.
