New South opens eighth location
Prosales, July, 2005
West Columbia. S.C.-based commercial and industrial construction products distributor New South Supply has opened its eighth branch, located in Hardeeville, S.C., extending its services to markets including Hilton Head Island in South Carolina and Savannah, Ga. Steve Melton, previously operations manager at the company's Myrtle Beach, S.C., location, will serve as sales manager, and Dave Davis will serve as the operations manager.
The move is part of the company's growth plans to expand into new areas. Hilton Head "is a booming market and [has been] underserved by commercial construction suppliers," said CEO Jim Sobeck in a company release. New South plans to expand throughout the Carolinas to develop presence in other under-serviced markets.
New South Supply (www.newsouthsupply.com) was founded in 1981 and supplies contractors in the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia.
