Huttig Building Products continues expansion plans

St. Louis-based distributor Huttig Building Products announced plans to expand into Long Island, N.Y., with the company's 46th branch. The area, according to a recent statement from Michael Lupo, president and CEO, has "approximately 27,000 housing starts per year" and has a "strong market for repair and remodeling." The branch, which will service Nassau and Suffolk counties and extend the company's presence in the New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey tri-state area, is part of Huttig's growth initiatives to expand product offerings and geographical presence.
Huttig Building Products (www.huttig.com) has been in business for 120 years, serves 47 states, and had 2004 sales of $938.4 million.
